How to wear monochrome black in 2024?

– Att klä sig monokromt i svart är ett stilfullt uttryck som funkar till de flesta säsonger och tillfällen. Först och främst hade jag blandat in närliggande paletter i mixen som olika nyanser av mörkgrått, mörkblått och mörkbrunt för att få en intressantare dynamik, utan att tappa den monokroma känslan. Dessa färger kan lyfta de svarta plaggen och även ge dig fler valmöjligheter. Det viktigaste när du klär dig monokromt är att bryta av med olika material i samma nyans för att helheten ska synka. Detta gör allting mer intressant och det blir också roligare att kombinera dina outfits. Försök hitta plagg som passar dig och din stil väl.

Tips for a down vest that doesn't cost the earth? One that fits under the coat but is also stylish later in the spring

– A very nice alternative for us is Japanese TAION, which makes down vests in different designs for a good price. They are easy to wear under the coat, and work as a sole outer garment. In a higher price range there are also UBR, Stone Island and Herno, which make stylish vests with practical features and sharp quality.

How can I build an office wardrobe on a limited budget?

– I would start with 1-2 suits in dark blue or dark grey wool. Spend an extra penny at the tailors to fix the measurements based on your fit. Next, it is worth investing in a pair of quality shoes, either a pair of Oxfords or Pennyloafers with a rubber sole. Finally, a white and light blue shirt of a finer cotton material (which you also should take to the tailors, along with the suits). If a tie is required at the office or with clients, look at a black or midnight blue one. The icing on the cake can be a nice portfolio to hold all your contracts and documents. This base will take you a long way and when it's time to add more pieces, there are options such as a knitted merino pullover, merino polo shirt and a stylish outer coat.

How should I consider the choice of sock colour for sneakers this spring?

– White or grey ribbed socks complement most sneakers and provide a fresh impression. However, for a more sophisticated look, consider coordinating the sock colour with your pants (dark blue, black, dark grey) and opt for a slightly thinner sock with a wool composition. A subtle ribbed pattern can enhance the sense of quality. For warmer temperatures and a preference for ankle exposure, you may also explore 'no-show socks.

I like heavy scents with hints of leather that don't take over too much. Which perfume should I use this spring?

– Since the perfume is primarily intended for use in spring, perhaps even on warm summer evenings, I would look for a fragrance with leather or oud in the base notes. This means the top and heart notes often have a distinct and inviting freshness that balances out the heavier scent. Kasbah from 1969, Royal Oud from Creed, and Sellier from Byredo all have a heavier base note with either leather or wood mixed in the blend, making them suitable for the upcoming months.

I'm going to a 70s-themed party, do you have any tips on how to dress?

– Since party themes can sometimes be taken to extremes and almost become costume-like, I would recommend sticking to simple and subtle elements that reflect parts of the 70s fashion. A fine-knit polo shirt under a suit or blazer can be the detail that adds that little extra touch. Dare to use colour. Knitwear in bronze, mustard yellow, or mint green are three colours to pay extra attention to in this case, or why not deep purple? Let these garments seamlessly integrate into your wardrobe, where you can use them as accent pieces to complement your overall style. When it comes to buying clothes for a specific occasion, it's important to ask yourself if you'll be able to wear the garment for more than just that particular event. Invest, even if you want to experiment a bit.
